Eye candy: Pythagasaurus
Somehow, you know immediately that you’re watching an Aardman animation, even when the background of the frame is filled with mathematical formulae.
The legendary studio’s latest short follows cavemen Ig and Ug on their quest for the equally legendary Pythagasaurus, on the grounds that he “knows all eight numbers” and can tell them whether the local volcano will destroy their village when it erupts.
The character animation, as ever, accomplishes a lot with very little; and the script – written and acted by a bunch of British comedy veterans – is a delight.
Highly recommended if you want to learn about dinosaurs and shit.
