Nvidia stops shipping mental mill
The note on the mental mill product page explaining that retail distribution has been stopped.
Nvidia has stopped shipping mental mill, the MetaSL shader authoring tool developed by mental images.
A note on the product page on the old mental images website simply says that ‘Retail distribution of mental mill has been discontinued’.
The Artist edition of mental mill was included with 3ds Max 2010, and the Standard edition with 3ds Max, Maya and Softimage 2011. Since then, it’s been a bit quiet.
There’s no word on the Nvidia forums about product support for existing users. We’ll update if we hear more.
