Next Limit releases RealFlow RenderKit 2014

Simulations rendered by Geminus 3D using the RealFlow RenderKit. The tool, which enables RealFlow users to render fluid simulations without meshing the particles before export to a 3D application, has just been updated.

Next Limit has released RealFlow RenderKit 2014, the latest version of its toolset for meshing particle simulations generated in RealFlow at render time, making it easier to manage large simulations.

According to Next Limit, new features include:

  • Arnold Renderer support in Maya and Softimage
  • RenderMan and Arnold procedurals with Katana compatibility
  • RFRK_Cloud with OpenVDB support

It’s worth noting that in this case, ‘cloud’ refers to recreating the cloud-like appearance of surface spray and mist, not rendering in the cloud.

Pricing and availability
The software, which previously cost $200 per licence, was made free to use earlier this year. It is compatible with 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Houdini, LightWave, Maya, Softimage and the Arnold and V-Ray renderers.
