Creation Effects releases Creation Art Effects

Creation Effects – aka artist Noel Powell – has released Creation Art Effects: an After Effects template for mimicking the look of traditional media, with over 50 customisable presets.

A range of natural media and print effects
Most of the types of effect available will be familiar if you’ve used Photoshop filters (halftone, watercolor) or non-photorealistic renderers (chalk, charcoal, pencil scribble).

However, there are a few surprises, like ‘claymation’ – actually an effect like thin layers of clay.

You might not want to use all of them in professional work, but each preset is customisable, so there’s a lot of scope to tailor them to a project, particularly for text and titles.

Creation Art Effects is compatible with After Effects CS5 and above. It costs $99.
