Anastasiy ships MagicPicker 8

Anastasiy Safari has released MagicPicker 8.0: the latest version of the colour wheel and colour-picker add-on for Photoshop and Illustrator, widely used in digital painting and concept art work.

The update makes it possible to adjust the transparency of the HUD, and adds controls for new colour spaces, with the option to display up to 10 different sets of sliders beneath the colour wheel itself.

Adjust the opacity of the HUD, or enable Background Blur
The new HUD interface introduced in MagicPicker 7.0 has been updated, with the option to make it completely or partially transparent.

It is also possible to enable background blur to create a frosted glass effect.

Display up to 10 sets of control sliders beneath the colour wheel
MagicPicker 8.0 also adds support for new colour spaces, with the option to display no fewer than 10 separate sets of control sliders beneath the colour wheel.

The list includes additive, subtractive and perceptual spaces – RGB, CMYK, HSL, HSB/HSV, Lab, Lch/HCL and CIELUV – plus colour temperature, and grayscale and foreground-to-background colour gradients.

Other changes: updates to keyboard shortcuts
In addition, the update changes MagicPicker’s handling of keyboard shortcuts, which no longer need to include [Ctrl] on Windows, making it possible to use the function keys as shortcuts.

There is also a new readymade shortcut for swapping the forground and background colours in Photoshop, or swapping fill and stroke colours in Illustrator.

Pricing and availability
MagicPicker 8.0 is available now for Photoshop and Illustrator CS4 and above on Windows and macOS. It has an MSRP of $29.
