After Effects 23.1 announced
Adobe has announced After Effects 23.1, the latest version of the compositing software. The release adds support for Cinema 4D 2023, along with “several stability and performance fixes”.
The release is due to become available to users on 8 December 2022.
Now supports the new features from Cinema 4D 2023
After Effects 23.1 is essentially a compatibity update, with the only change listed in the release notes being support for Cinema 4D 2023, the latest version of Maxon’s 3D design and animation software.
After Effects comes with Cinema 4D Lite, a free cut-down edition of the software, and can read and write Cinema 4D .c4d project files via the accompanying Cineware plugin.
Pricing and system requirements
After Effects is available for Windows 10+ and macOS 11.0+ on a rental-only basis. In the online documentation, After Effects 23.1 is also referred to as the December 2022 release.
Subscriptions to After Effects cost $31.49/month or $239.88/year, while All Apps subscriptions, which provide access to over 20 of Adobe’s creative tools, cost $82.49/month or $599.88/year.
